Pick n Pay ‘AIM’ brand TVs

CZ also were relabled Dixons and another brand as well think Blaupunkt
The 3-year warranty is what sold me on AIM. Knowing PnP will not have any quibbles replacing (or most likely refunding) me should anything go wrong. Two years later both AIM 58" TVs we bought are still going strong.

It remains to be seen how easy repairs would be if the power supply gives the ghost.

Same actually, but as you said will see how the repairs goes. As lately even with Hisense I'm struggling to get a response back for the "4" year warranty when registering.
Also for the price the TVs aren't bad I've got 2 in the house and my daughter has a 50" at home, they do the job, but the 42" I bought was an ALED not a CZ, and the menu looks a tad different and the panel does seem to be of same or similar quality to the CZ1943 we have. Though I mean they aren't great for edge watching

This part seems odd
The picture quality 4K 30hz? From a reviewer, they also mention hdmi 1.4 ports which is only 4k30hz
Mmmm, that raises more suspicion about the source of these 1-year warranty AIM TVs. Does not seem to be of CZ origin so who knows what goes on in there?

Back in the 90s they rebadged Panasonic goods (National) that was locally made at the Parrow factory. My uncle worked there. Sadly, things went tits up, apparently an envoy of big wigs from Matsushita flew in for a visit to the factory but there was protest action somewhere on the route from the airport to the factory, so they booked a flight back to the land of the rising sun and it was the beginning of the end for the local National factory.

Yup cause the pnp website says 1.4 and takealot says 2. If it's truly a uhd tv it should be 2 and in this day and age there shouldn't be any 1.4.

A lot of things were rebadged back then sadly and sometimes it was awful quality.

True - thankfully with AIM you got an excellent deal back then (and it seems now if they CZ parts). Not sure what their current MO is but back then they wanted to become a decent quality electronics brand, so they made a loss on some of the products.

Yup have had no issues with various AIM devices I've had over the years, if you're looking at CZ parts I think Cash Crusaders Dixon brand is still using them.

If you can get a CZ built one - go for it. They are good.
What it CZ and how do you know it is CZ?
My one tv is getting lines over it, just visible with start up screen, but will probably need replacement soon. So I was looking at these AIM uhd tv as this tv is not used much

I was referring to ones built by https://czelectronics.co.za which is a supplier of AIM electronics. They typically have a 3 year warranty and you should be able to find the model on their website. Another indicator will be the AIM model name that starts with CZ, like this 58" AIM I got 2 years ago.
