Do you think cannabis should be completely legalised? Selling, using and growing would therefore be completely legal.
Yes it should because besides making you high when you smoke it,consuming it has a lot of health benefits.

Physically no. But psychologically? The amount of times I personally went through the 'i can stop at any time' schtick only to still be smoking a year later. Becomes a dependency very quickly for some people as they seem unable to deal with life without being high.
The thing with addiction is addicts typically don't realize what they are until they attempt to stop.

So this might be super noob but here goes.

I've never smoked a cigarette myself, but recently someone left one of those "party vapes" at my apartment. The ones that are disposable, and apparently have quite high % nicotine inside the liquid. I took it along with me to work the following week, taking a few puffs in traffic or when going for coffee. And damn, did it give me a massive headrush. The first time I tried it I nearly fell over from the dizzyness. I wasn't sure if I liked this feeling or not but I kept trying it until I decided I don't like this feeling and disposed of the disposable.

Now my question is, what's the difference between that headrush from a cigarette/vape, a 1-2 hour high from a joint, or a buzz from a drink while at work or the office? I don't see any difference, depending on the level of intoxication.
Nicotine gives you one hell of a rush.

Nicotine gives you one hell of a rush.
Maybe just had such a rush personally because I am not a smoker, but hot damn, I was busy driving and took a puff and got so dizzy I had to really focus on the road. Thus I wondered, on a scientific level if you can really compare the incapacitation of the substances. It also differs from person to person, body mass, metabolism, blood type etc.

Some people in my office are perma-sucking on their vapes downstairs. Wondering if they are just chasing that head rush the whole day. I don't know, people are funny.

The biggest issue I have with Cannabis is that it makes people complacent and happy when they shouldn't be. They're okay with the way things are because it dulls the senses and influences our decisions, then again everybody is different, what may make one individual feel slightly elevated could make another enter another headspace.

I used to consume quite a bit of Cannabis daily, for me personally life got a lot better after stopping. Like everything else (alcohol/food/sex) moderation is key, some people including myself lack the willpower to stop.
I prefer strains that make me paranoid, which I turn into introspection.

It's the stink tbh. I have very sensitive sense of smell :(
Once start smoking dagga, the scent of it will make you salivate!

I vaporize it and will say that if I forget that the vaporizer is still on, it does smell like someone shiit themselves.

I believe it should be completely legalised or that the police need to be taught that possession and home grown is not illegal. I feel like considering the intellectual capabilities of the SAPS , we need to legalize it completely with similar to tobacco laws.

Using and growing are already legal due to the Constitutional court ruling. It's just the buying and selling part which needs to be legalised.
the problem is that the SAPS still arrest for legal uses of cannabis. You expect the average person to be able to deal with incompetent police and justice system and judges?

massive difference... this entire comment is excruciatingly stupid.

Using and growing is already legal - but very limited in the amounts you're allowed. Selling and buying - still illegal.

I don't have an issue with zol. But **** that smell is naar.

It's bad enough walking in or out of a public building with a bunch of smokers hanging around
You don't smell it if you smoke it :sneaky: But I wouldn't want to smoke it in public anyway - it's best done in a private space with only people you know.

Care to elaborate and grace us with your superior perspective, instead of just bashing a genuine question?

That seems excruciatingly stupid to me :)

It doesn't matter if something is legal or not, people will do what they want to do and use what they want to use, regardless of what the law or others have to say about it. I say legalize it so that they can remove themselves from jobs so that the rest of us can get those jobs faster.

I'm a paraplegic and suffer with severe muscle spasms. Since the government can't supply me with the ONLY medication on the sa market, namely baclofen, that works, I have to resort to cannabis products to keep spasms in check. So illegal or not I have to use it as these severe spasms can become a serious danger when transferring to and from my wheelchair.

For you, it is medication, for someone else it is recreation. We can't know who is who until they make themselves known. But I do know of cases that they can give you medical cannabis. This was a couple of years ago now, I don't know if this has changed.
