What are the prizes like?

So it turns out there's some prizes from the event sponsors.

They'll confirm soon but it looks like the prizes consists of mead, honey, a flat pack hive consisting of a brood box, super and frames.

Order arrived yesterday, had to wait till Boeka time to try some, but thoroughly enjoyed it!
Pleasantly surprised too, I was planning to cream 2 of these jars, and the crystalisation stage had already started on 3 jars, so this was perfect!
By the time i wanted to open the comb, the Kids had already got their hands on it.

Just did my first paid training session today for one of the delegates from Zimbabwe that attended Apimondia.

Was a 3 hour session with practical training where we made some beeswax lip balm, candles and a Foot & Heel Balm. Also demonstrated my solar wax melter and covered the basics of carrier oils and essential oils.

Anyone for a lego hive?

One of my beekeeping friends here in Somerset West built this. The super is nearly full of honey already.
