The "average" person really doesn't like being invaded. The belief in sovereignty is something that holds strong to this day.

Look at the USA. If China invaded, do you really think the average American is gonna sit back? See how triggered they get if DC wants to talk about gun rights. Imagine if China invaded?

Russia wouod go nuclear if the USA walked in.

Just here, sipping my coffee, thinking about that one time average folks in France, and the Netherlands, and Poland, and Hungary, and Italy who, according to you, shouldn't have cared who was in charge, had plenty reason to care who was in charge.
