Been in Cape Town (far south) for almost half-a-century already but I don't really do demographics so wasn't sure about the ratios. Most coloured people I know (and I know a lot) come from Christian families but I realise many others are also of the Muslim faith especially those from the bo-kaap areas.

Some interesting stats from Wikipedia:

That's still a lot of people.

But back to the topic.

Can anybody recall :

During the Zuma years, the Eskom power stations were pushed hard. When did the first problems/issues started to appear?

The EAF highest was 80.5% in 1993, peak demand in was 24GW in 1994 by the looks of it.

Looks like it was 92% in 2001, demand highest was almost 32GW in 2003

Then it seems in 2013 they cut too this which is fancy for the management to read :)

So De Ruyter took over in 2019 when the EAF had already dropped from 78% in 2018 to 69.95% in 2019 and he's too blame? It kept dropping though to a dismal 62% in 2022, hate to see what 2023 would be.
Somewhere between 2013 to 2018 :) but the real poo was from 2019

As a Jew by blood, I have to give "it" to my forefather's good and proper :D

Edit: and by it I mean the middle finger. Of all the countries they could have run to, during WW2 they had to pick SA.

Sadly the up and down between stage 3 and 4 just makes my area sit at stage 4 anyway. I mean so I have no idea why they even bother, keep it at stage 4. As I mean I'll basically have 6 hours off everyday till Sunday anyway.
