nyt == russian propaganda machine. :p

Stolen valour is when a civilian pretends to have served in the military or a former serviceman embellishes his service and/or decorations and/or medals.

Most vets aren't going to lie about serving in a war zone, and those reporters had no reason to doubt Phillips. What's more, I can tell you this with certainty: the average reporter has no idea what indicators would point to a military claim being false, let alone exaggerated.

To be blunt, most members of the media wouldn't recognize a red flag waving in their face that a veteran would spot from a mile away.

This is conclusive and irrefutable proof that Russia was right to attack Ukraine and destroy it because of guys like Vasquez. The West's help is itself bad, smelly and has cooties. This is completely logical.

Prognostication:
Russians largely support this war but, the way it's being run will lead them to oust Putin especially if it escalates into a larger extremely costly war.

It could be a repeat of some sort of the fall of the Tzars.

There apparently is a large grassroots Christianization growth inside Russia in response to the West losing their everloving neoliberal minds that could be a deciding factor. Putin has been cynically taking advantage of this but the mask is slipping especially with friend Dugin and his neopagan idea's. No specific results are guaranteed but this looks like a massive cultural civil war brewing.

What do you mean "larger extremely costly war"? Target for the first "partial mobilisation" was 300k mostly men of a certain age. People are currently being summoned to the military offices.

Their gains despite superiority in manpower and equipment were minimal, at a huge cost to human life and equipment, WWII ornaments included.

Putin in my opinion won't be ousted by the masses.

Thought Christianity is against wars.
