Ramokgopa warns that Eskom expects 8,000MW to 10,000MW shortfall in winter

Okay so reading an article shows you're right, Eskom is not using the high-grade coal anyway evcen though it SHOULD have in its new power stations - thats another debate. it still does not mean priority is not being given to these markets though over eskom? How are we constantly at risk of not having coal at powerstations yet we can export tons of it?
The only reason our new ones need different quality is because the ANC got outsiders (who have no clue about our local coal quality) to design them because they didn't want the white devil involved.

This Ramakgopa is no stranger to dodgy deals. Guess who awarded PEU Capital Partners a very dodgy, very big deal in Tshwane no less, the very same city that @TheChamp has been complaining about over in the DA thread? Kicked off that city's demise with a couple of billion in wasteful expenditure :D And now he's our electricity minister? Already contradicting himself 3 weeks into the job?

Comedy gold. Aloota continua, we are led, the coffers are bled, every minister has 6 beemers hidden in the shed :D

Same reason we are not exporting tons of coal* ... our rail infrastructure has been destroyed and they can't get the coal to the places it needs to be - ie. Power Plants and Shipping Terminals

* I have nothing to back this up, but just trust me, I'm not a minister of energy

We are actually exporting loads of our high-grade coal. Check out the truck convoys that never stop. They can't keep up with overseas demand.

25 bloody years of warnings and the pie holes are still feeding their faces and fysk the poor.
