Plank steak - pretty sure it's what other countries refer to as the flank steak, if not exactly then closely.

Available from Checkers
Flank steak is that piece under the ribs, maybe part of belly. I most places in SA don’t even sell that as steak.
That Denver steak seems to be part of the chuck. Also most places here I dont think will sell that cut.
We braaied steak 20 years ago when we were just men at party and then cut it in slices on a cutting board and eat from there. It is only recently that some Jan Braai or other TikTok clown decided lets call it a Plankie steak. You can use any steak but like in most cases Rump is always king

Whats a good pan that's versatile and can go into a weber. I want something for roasting potatoes

Just about everyone on here has one :p ...

There's a few versions ... Just search on their site.

Good to know. Fortunately the Denver is readily available at Checkers throughout the EC and presumably elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and try one.

I've also bought flank steaks at my local Checkers but they do have a particularly good butcher so YMMV will vary.

You should see if you can get hanger steak. Only ever seen it at 1 local Checkers. Think they called it chef’s cut. Not the most tender steak. But nothing beat it for flavor.

Same black pan you got with your oven and what you use for roast potatoes in your oven? Although I have a smaller Stainless one I normally use in Weber. For things like roast potatoes in Weber you can actually make the size pan you want with alu foil.

I made a roast chicken with hickory wood smoke and used the foil drip pan to do the potatoes. Though looking for something more permanent
