They are stealing the members at the bottom, you would have thought Tshwane would at least welded the bolts the first time they replaced them.

It doesn't look like the thieves are using any cutting tools, otherwise they would have cut the whole thing, so chances are that they were not, that's why it's so easy to steal the members, it also point to the thieves being petty criminals more than organised syndicates.

There is a concerted effort to make SA ungovernable and push for regime change; a regime which will provide a much more favorable climate for criminal cartels to operate freely and openly. I think it's petty thieves, as reported some of those pylons were reported some time ago for the missing pylons, the tweet from that one guy is from last year, meaning some of them have been like that for some time and barely holding on. I don't think someone who is doing sabotage would be so nice as to just take a few cross members.

You better hope so.

Criminal minds may have seen cause and effect.

And they may use this to cut off power to major parts of cities/towns, then go on a crime spree.
