Ramokgopa says three power stations are the best chance to end load-shedding

We still don't know why these units are not working and what needs to be done to fix them. Like, do they need parts that take 2 years to custom make? Or is the coal poor quality but Eskom is stuck in a contract with that mine and can't buy better coal? What is the problem. You can't just say let's fix this and voila you end loadshedding.

This so-called minster of Electricity is just another cadre deployment from the ANC to cover their asses and make De Ruyter look bad!!

of course, rule number 20 in the ANC Cadre Handbook,
blame everybody and distract everybody constantly. unfortunately it isn't working as well as it used to

hopefully people notice during elections.

They need to negotiate better warranty terms, 5 years is ridiculous, its a power station not a damn Hyundai

Our Minister of Leccy doesn't actually have a clue, he just says fix it and it *poof* gets fixed.

I thought that was obvious.

Well so far, all he's doing is making the ANC look like they always have, muppets.

Yeah, if anything he is possibly doing the country a bit of a favour by being such a useless muppet. We know that he won't fix anything, and is at least making it very public that this is an ANC failure (along with everything else)

Yup, just showing that the ANC is just as useless as they've always been.

He did explain in detail the issues with every one of the 81 power stations
Some were coal, not the availability but the capital to procure it
Some were original parts not available and 12-18 month waiting list for parts
Some just need basic maintenance but there lifecycle ends in 2028 so they need to decide to refurb it for use of 5 years

The geniuses that got us in this mess over the course of 3 decades are expected to resolve the issue suddenly? Yeah sure. Wish the masses could come to that basic conclusion as well

The winds of change are blowing...

Maybe stopping the sabotage would also stop load shedding.

Suffer you cumb dunts who voted for the ANC. Assholes.

Who is "we". Because the our people are happy to keep 'em in power.
"We" in this context is the collective nation of South Africa. We need to vote a different party to the presidency as the ANC is not working out.

Seeing as 30 years or so have passed since the end of Apartheid a lot of voters are actually young and won't vote for the ANC "just because" as they have no memory of any struggle.
I think the next election might be a close one. A lot of voters are dissatisfied, especially since 2020.

And the DA are running with the "Vote DA to end loadshedding" angle, and loadshedding affects us all.

The ANC is due for a wake-up call. They need to lose a general election.

But the ANC made it clear there is an "our people" and a "those other people". Those other people, also know as "we", are not voting for the ANC. The "our people" are very happy with the ANC. So are you saying "we" need to get the "our people" to stop voting for the ANC?

How do "we" do that?
