Irrelevant since Russia is not seeking direct rule of Ukrainians. Now if they actually tried doing that it would be a different story.

Russia is going to extend direct rule at least temporarily regardless what she seeks. She aims to advance until either Ukraine surrenders and allows full control by Russia, and Russia decides how Ukraine behaves or Russia destroys their military and takes over. Someone will have to take control of at least the POWs, political structures, etc. You think one just wins a war and assumes no control at all? Where did such happen?

This is not a civil war. The Russians invaded. Russians are not Ukrainians. It's not one country fighting.

Of course it's a civil war, the fighting started before the Russians invaded.

I don't know about hatred. Before 2014 relations were good. It seems that taking Crimea back and so on, upset the Ukrainians. There were other events in history where Ukrainian women and children got the raw deal of Russian political experiments, eg Holodomor.

Not really exceptional giving the complete history, just the most recent.

Ethnicity is merely a subcatagory of race. There is no difference between hating a specific kind of white and all whites.... both are equally racism, all else is mere pretense.

It can be depraved and an act of desperation. Who put these people into such a situation then? Did the people who put the there also face desperation? Is this a last stand? Are we dealing with the Swiss Guard defending Pope Clement VII against Spaniards and German mercenaries in a last stand or are we dealing with a war which Russia did not have to start?

Permanently or temporarily.... what people want is irrelevant in the face of overwhelming odds. Ukraine helped make the the bed it's in and it now has to sleep in it for better or worse. And it's only the beginning of course but no one believes me when I say this... they prefer to believe the fantasy that the UN will restore the previous status quo or something.

Not sure why monuments to writers who denigrated Ukrainians should be kept in Ukraine. Why should Soviet Army monuments remain? Why should monuments to Hitler and Co remain.... oh those were torn down.

Ukraine was being Ukrainian and sovereign. If by virtue of being independent you claim they made their bed than we as a conglomerate of stronger powers have to kick Russian influence out of Europe and we support our friends in Ukraine to defend themselves. That's all. Now you said you were not European so therefore while we appreciate you have an opinion about us, we consider your opinion irrelevant and mistaken. Not merely personally as to what you can do, but as it pertains to what you think Ukraine did or did not do.

Details: Eduard Bagirov, a blogger in the early to mid-2000s, has died at the age of 48, his friends told Radio Liberty.

Propagandist Margarita Simonyan confirmed this information.

According to one of the sources of Varlamov News in Bagirov's entourage, he had been in a coma for the last week. It is also reported that "all his organs had failed".
