The Mandalorian [SPOILERS]

Episode 8: Everlasting jetpacks

Ja ok it was an enjoyable episode. But glad the season is over, seems to have set the tone for the adventures of Mando and Grogu in the next season and Bo can rebuild her empire. Hopefully next season (if there is one) the writing etc. gets back on point.

They played it safe in the finale. Mandalorians won. No one died so was Disney friendly. They kept the Mythosaur out of the story I assume because of the CGI budget.
What is surprising is how little time they spent on the clones considering they dedicated a whole episode with the scientist and lesbo woman.

In reality this season was just 7 episodes as that one episode added no value to the series and made no difference to the whole story. 7 episodes feel so short but still enjoyed the series as one of the very few series I actually will watch this year.

Next season it seems they want to focus on bountyhunting. Maybe they will age Grogu and make him able to talk as baby Yoda thing is getting a bit worn out.

Still annoyed being a force user is a biological trait that can be inserted into a clone as opposed to an esoteric wisdom. But that’s thanks to George and his midi whatyoucallits.

Force power was always something at least partially inherited though. Am not a fan of the midi nonsense either but the story was always that the "force is strong" in certain families/bloodlines. Anakin to Luke and Leia - "The force is strong in my family"

No "we are out of fuel" like in "it is time for wacky mando wednesday" (dino bird takes child and it turns into an extraction and rescue mission) where they could only fly a little and had to walk/climb etc.

Also the jedi cloning Thrawn books was before all of this 'midi whatyoucallits' kak. I mean Luuuke Skywalker...

I mean, the guy exited the atmosphere on that jetpack ....
Ive never figured out how they control those jetpacks, I mean they use them for literally everything, even flying Kicks, is it thought controlled?
how do they practice that? simulation mode on the helmet?

also fun cameo, Mandos droid is the EXACT same Droid "almost" brought by Luke in return of the Jedi, the One that Blew up because of a Bad motivator.
and they ended up with R2,

I always thought its a case of Similar Droid but NOT the same.

They seem to have some kind of connection to their jetpacks (thought or muscle movement). I remember when the armourer gave it to him she told him that he must begin his drills and that it won't listen to his commands until he knows it.

It was quite funny to see that they replaced 'Beep/bop/boop' Carano with a bot.
