Old South African flag is hate speech, SCA confirms as AfriForum consults its lawyers

People need to understand how courts work. It is easy to lambaste the courts as being captured, but Judges can only rule on the merits.

Yet, you're not legally qualified but consider yourself to be an arbiter of the law?

Psuedo lawyer that acts like a judge. Come down off that pedestal you have hoisted yourself on. You're a legal layman like all of us.

Yet, you're not legally qualified but consider yourself to be an arbiter of the law?

I have no idea how you reached that conclusion. At no point did I assume any legal authority, nor did I settle any dispute. Judgements are already made by the courts, not by me. What do you want Judges to rule on, emotions?

Psuedo lawyer that acts like a judge. Come down off that pedestal you have hoisted yourself on. You're a legal layman like all of us.

You are losing it, when you can't win on arguments you reduce them to insults. At least I back up my views with credible and direct sources. Just because the outcome didn't go your way, don't be childish about it. It can still be appealed as I pointed out.

Who said I condoned the apartheid regime? I wasn't fighting for apartheid in the SADF. I had blacks fighting communism alongside me.

The war in Angola was against Soviet imperialism and was in Angola because if it wasn't, the operational area would have been near Springbok and Upington.
I was in the SADF too. It wasn't just you, although some of your posts seem to indicate that. Although I know you've said your Soweto friends were also there.

But I'm not idiotic enough to believe that the fight was against communism, when the NP's policies were much more aligned that way than the policies that followed. You don't seem keen to discuss that for some reason? You seem to prefer ad hominems.

At least he tries to analyse things logically and not just spew ideological garbage.

I asked you months ago whether you were a lawyer. You replied you weren't.

So do I. Every time I provide facts.

You pretend to interpret the law despite being a layman like most of us and then consider your interpretation to be the correct interpretation using lots of legal waffle.

So you obviously didn't see front line service then.

Otherwise you would have known that all the red hot metal coming your way was supplied by the Soviet Union and that they and their proxies were there. What were they doing there so far from Russia in another hemisphere?

I wasn't a chef or a driver, let me put it that way. I was based at Rooikop and my flashes had daggers on them and my beret was green, so as someone so absorbed in their past you should know which battalion I served with.

But you're still dodging my question regarding the NP's socialist policies. I mean if you look at Verwoerd's qualifications all the right wingers here would call him a woketard today. Hilarious.

I don't care about the NP nor their socialist policies. They were wrong and I didn't support them either.

I didn't join the SADF out of political conviction. It was the only military I could join and have a military career in. Something many here don't realise.

Fair enough CD.

No, but this is MyBB, not a court of law. I wouldn't let anyone else here represent me either.

He acts as if he's an arbiter of the law. Is it wrong to call him out? You guys always say I'm the expert in everything and constantly call me out despite not knowing my expertise.

Why can't I call out an admitted non expert giving expert opinions?

British passport actually. Better than an ancestral. Was doing just fine in SA though, but have more family here.

Yeah, and then you smugly tell people to get out of SA if they don't like what is happening. Most SA citizens can't.

Of course you can, that's not in dispute. I'm just saying that his comments are better thought out than the ubiquitous KFC, Jan and Viva comments that pepper every thread.

Your opinions are welcome too.

Have I said that? I may have but don't recall having done so.

But most members here portray themselves as massively successful, so they shouldn't struggle too much either in SA or elsewhere.
