Old South African flag is hate speech, SCA confirms as AfriForum consults its lawyers

Breaking News! People that think gay peoples' flag should be taken away so they can't be seen by kids, are crying that their own flag is being taken away so it can't be shown to kids.
Gay people have a flag?

I certainly don't. No gay people I know or associate with do. I certainly wasn't born holding one. Were you?

I find being lumped into an inexorably homophobic, misogynistic, reality-denying church against my will offensive. Being offended apparently gives me all kinds of rights and privileges, correct?

Fun fact: I agree with having ideological flags, religion, and other bullshit kept away from kids. Kids don't need flags to be gay, or straight, or bisexual, or black, or white.

And that flag has sweet bugger-all to do with homosexuality.

Shocking, innit?

I thought the pride flag is representative of the gay and lesbian community.

How will they take care of themselves in foreign lands when they can't afford to leave ZA?
this beats the hell out of me. Imagine leaving your 7 room house in Brakpan to go live in a caravan in UK(if you can even afford a caravan). Besides, most of the racism that people get away with in this country would not be tolerated in most first world countries.

The only thing that I think the majority of the nation longs for are the days when everything worked, but the fcking ANC has put paid to that in 30 odd years.
Unfortunately that period you are imagining never existed. In the 80s half the people didn’t have running water and electricity. Growing up without electricity, I can safely say I’m better off with stage 10 loadshedding than without electricity at all. You can take that to any developmental parameter you want to use like life expectancy, child mortality, GDP per capita in dollars, people living below the poverty line etc.

More incoherent drivel form the main source in these threads....and applauded by his, just as challenged, acolytes.

How typical...

No whataboutism, I'm simply pointing out there is someone far worse that you have apparently missed noticing in your anger.

;)
The perfect example of whataboutism...

Oh and "anger".....

This has become a good old go-to in these threads. When someone disagrees or have an opposite opinion they are angry, frothing, reeeing etc etc.

When I think someone is talking kak, I comment on it. It is my opinion on the matter....angry about what? Angry at whom?

Some anonymous twat on the internet? It takes really serious stuff to make me angry....not the inane ramblings of that divisive simpleton.

Come now, we've interacted often enough...I expected more from you tbh.

;)

Quinnie, I'm not actually arguing (or saying you are wrong), just pointing out there is a far worse moron at hand that you hadn't noticed. Are caravans cheap enough in NL for you to be able to afford one to live in? ;)

You do seem a little angered by Gyre though :p

I think it is just the tone of some messages, I am also mistaken for angry sometimes.

I was just comparing the flag being banned for their own good and the protection of people's feelings to the Don't Say Gay bill in America which is is doing the same thing. The bill is so vague that somebody may not be able to put up a Pride flag in class, it goes along with the "gratuitous displays" of the SA flag.

I wasn't clear from the offset and I don't believe the old flag should even be banned, but it's interesting to see how people interpret two different forms of government controlling people and how they feel about it.
