You have not looked hard enough or at the wrong times of the day. And, actually, it does not matter how "nice and clean" your place is - them cockroaches will still invade from the environment around you.
 
When I walk my dogs in the 'burbs, these days I need to take a bag with me to collect litter because if you don't look after your own area, who will, right? And it's not just degenerates passing through. It's people living in these places now doing their level best to turn them into the schitholes they complained so bitterly about. It eats at my soul!
 
My place of work deals with all kinds of local and international containers with all kinds of contents. But you won't find an infestation of any kind because there are colonies of cats that eat all kinds of beetles, cockroaches, parktown prawns, rats etc. Only pests they won't eat are hadedas because they can poke an eye out.
 
Those effeckto eco traps work wonders. Its the cardboard ones which has a bait and roaches get stuck to the glue on them. You just replace them every now and again and roach problem sorted.

Works out to about R10 each I think.

So for 11 years of not seeing a single cockroach in my house or outside at all, I haven't looked hard enough?

If you have cockroaches you would see at least a few a day, every day. You would find dead ones too.

Not one in or around my house.
 
more crap lying around for them to feed on i suppose. favourable natural environment.

sometimes i wonder if some new plague will come into existence because of the disgusting way people live in some areas, like what happened with the black death.

driving through or past these places is terrible, smells disgusting and looks terrible. the people living there just look the other way and blame other people. lol.


maybe their natural predators being killed off too, poisons etc...

Reminds me I need to do some ant control; outside only at this stage.

I have the lady in her Mercedes throwing out rubbish on my dashcam. I offered it to the Metro Police. After speaking to 3 different people I was told that "since these things could be faked so easily" they were not interested. The images are all date and time stamped. The cop or whoever he was hung up. I got the impression that it was too much effort for him

My neighbour said I should call the Mayor's office. Why go to all this trouble?

Lol. My brother was stabbed. We have the name, number, photo and location of the guy who stabbed him and gave it to the police.

Nothing has been done for months now.
