Which is stupid. If you are asking for questions ahead of time you can answer all of it in a press statement and doing the entire press briefing is a waste of time.
Makes them feel more involved and gives the illusion to the public.

Just to point out your own sources calls the practice "unethical".

This cue card reading of questions & reporters shouldn't be conflated with the more general practice of the WH asking the press for questions ahead of time to help them better prepare, which also caused a brouhaha a few years back.

If it’s ok for trump then it’s ok for biden.

If it was unethical then it's unethical now. Just pointing out it's not standard else it would not be referred to in such a manner.

So what you're saying is Trump and Biden are unethical?
Basically Trump has immunity from ethics because he's president and has executive privilege. Because Biden stole the election, and is not really president....so no immunity, hence it's unethical.

I doubt Trump would be able to accomplish much of these promises, if any. We saw in his first term he wasn't even able to make a dent in the deep state, and in fact he chose quite a few of their operatives for imporatnt positions in his administration. Whether that was naive or intentional, who knows

Still the wrong idea the set up a truth and reconciliation commission. It is too slow.

He just has to clear out everyone from day one.

The Republicans are busy with this thing were they think making someone look silly in a public hearing is enough. It is not when the behavior of that person was criminal.

If they both did it sure, but then we can also go into who does it more often.
Well, that was what we were telling the Trumpites at the time.....who defended him to the core. That they won't be able to say much, because he has introduced a new standard of everything. Now that it's become the normal....why complain?

Hiding in a bunker, stupidity, ignorance, mass grift, lack of accountability, nepotism, pardoning murderers, etc. All of that discussion is off the table, as it was deemed acceptable behaviour

You got it backwards. Everything Trump did was scrutinised and criticised.
So now all that is fair game for Biden. Just a pity the media is now a tad absent when reporting on it.

They have no teeth and seem really timid in trying to really go after clear criminal activities. The other side is prepared to do anything to win and the Republicans are feeble and timid. Problem is many of the Establishment Republicans are actually on the same side as the deep state enemy. RINOS like Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConell, Liz Cheney etc.

Everything Trump did was scrutinized and deemed acceptable by you lot. I had actually commented on it a few times at the time....that a new standard was being set. Dunno why you're complaining, you willingly let it happen. Heck, the guy publicly altered meteorological data on TV, and apparently, he was right.

I don't think the cue card thing was unethical at the Trump time, I think the card were fark funny though. Can you point out who thought it was unethical, apart from you?

Isn't this "deep state" nonsense simply a Trump team construct to distract and obfuscate failure?

Nope, we laughed at the absurdity of it all. The constant TDS was truly a joy to behold. One would hope the same standards apply today, but sadly it's not the case.

It wasn't me, it was the article Quo linked.
