That won't work. I need a USSD command. The sim card is in a IOT device that knows how to read ussd responses from its gsm modem.Send a Please-Call-Me to another number.
I wonder what their reason is for disabling that is.
Well done my man, that option didn't work for me but I am glad yo got it!@PaulMurkin I actually figured out another way to do it. If you dial *135# you can go through to their services menu where you can request the puk number for your phone and it send you a ussd response in the format "The puk number for 123-456-7890 is ****" The problem with that is that those menu options tend to change... not great for automating.

Not even this worked for me. Call me could not be delivered. And since the SIM is a data-only, couldn't send SMS from it either. Eventually came right by sending an SMS to all the numbers on account from another device, but this solution may not work for everyoneSend a Please-Call-Me to another number.
You most likely have the WASP content block active. I activated this by default for any new lines I activate for my business customers. It prevents those rogue charges being billed to your account or being deducted from your airtime. You can have the block removed by customer care. In general it is a good thing to have the block in place. How many articles have read on Mybroadband about people complaining about Vodacom stealing their airtime??? LOADS.For example, I just realized that I cant send SMS's to those short marketing numbers, it just refuses to deliver.
Good point. Hopefully it's just this. I will check before "escalating efforts" via customer care. Thanks for suggestionYou most likely have the WASP content block active. I would just stay with Vodacom. MTN is NOT any better.
