Chinese cars, are they as bad as everyone thinks?

Still concerning that Both Chery and Omoda have snapped axles though. and if you look at the two posts it looks like the cars snapped at the same place.

I dont think its SA judging by the first pic on the Grid. But that is besides the point, There are two cars that we now know of that are made by the same company with snapped off axles. Both axles broke off at the exact same point if you study the pictures I posted. This leads me to believe it is manufacturing defect. Dangerous defect .

Omoda/chery is fairly brand new so assuming it is in warranty only the manufacturer would've worked on it.

Woaw, this is a much bigger problem then, We now know of one Chery tiggo 4 pro in South Africa, and One Omoda in Malaysia, so it looks like both cars share the same axle.

In my opinion all these cars will need to be recalled. Having your axle snap off like that will get you killed, or does chery want a lawsuit first before they recall vehicles in every market?

These things are dressed up pigs.
Gooi LED lights and an iPad on the dash and people will lap it up. These things will not last.
Eventually Chinese cars will "get there" but not yet. Need another 5 - 10 years.
