Temu order problems in South Africa

Dozens of South Africans have complained about delayed or failed deliveries of Temu orders in the last two months, with one particular courier appearing to be a significant problem.

Users who have turned to the consumer sentiment measurement website Hellopeter have given the store a 1.59 out of 5 rating across 456 reviews during the past year.
 
When the courier courier arrived the last few rimes with a delivery I can see at least 100 Temu parcels in his bakkie, so I imagine there must be a few 100 000 parcels a month for the country by now.
 
I would have been happy to pay R200 for some of my recent orders to have a more guaranteed delivery date. It actually worked out with GFS because they were so slow we went on break and returned and was still waiting for them.

I know that the margins are small and they make it up in volume and the lowest bidders, they should allow an upgrade delivery fee to avoid GFS.
 
Intriguing. I would have pegged the problematic courier as Fastway.. most disorganised bunch I've ever come across.
Yeah they are pathetic. I know one of their drivers well enough now that he just tells me straight what a **** show it is behind the scenes there.

I went to one of their local places to collect a parcel and the absolute chaos in the back with parcels just laying all over the place was a sight to behold really, no surprise they can't find anything or take days to deliver things.

Now we know where all the ex Post Office employees have gone. That sounds too familiar.
 
GFS Express are useless. They took over a month to deliver my Temu stuff, but at least it eventually came. And i got a full refund from Temu anyways....
Hopefully they drop GFS asap . Temu will ban accounts for repeated refund requests
 
I received delivery of 3 orders which I had placed after the GFS express order had already cleared customs. I am still waiting for the gfs delivery.
Every 3 days the tracking updates with:
"We are trying to deliver your order, if you have any question, please contact us"

So to Temu it seems that the parcel is actively being delivered, wheres it is stuck in some warehouse.
 
Have to agree here. I've had several recently that took 2-3 times longer than the other ones (Buffalo/Sky/etc). Useless - hope they get rid of them.

Ask Temu support what’s up with the order and they will probably give 20% off your next order up to R500.
