It's official - SA is now the only African country on that list with no Winter Olympic coverage.

Great job SuperSport/canal+/multichoice/sabc/icasa

The number of countries with "TBC" is shrinking every day. SS/canal+ could not care less.

We have full coverage on Sky. Watched some of the opening ceremony.

As for the BBC license; yeah they can’t check you actually have one.

They also have a schitt load of expatriates, living abroad, who still want access to "home sweet home" TV shows

Hmmph! they just cut away to some documentary midway through the skeleton which I was really enjoying.

Now I'm trying to figure out why the BBC One link won't work even though I've got NordVPN running

And yeah it's annoying that they follow their own programming schedules sadly. Also annoying when I'm enjoying an event then they decide to switch to curling lol. Seems like Brits love their curling.

Anyway, I check these 2 sites every day to work out what to watch and when on bbc2 (just remember to add 2 hours for SA times)

Why are Olympic medals breaking? Will they be fixed for Paralympics?

Several 2026 Winter Olympics athletes have had their medals come apart from the ribbon. The company that made the medals told USA TODAY why.

The medal ribbons are made of fabric, which isn't very thick or wide. Medals from previous Games had loops or grommets to feed the ribbon through. But the medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics instead have a groove at the top. A metal pin resting in a loop at the bottom of the ribbon fits into the groove, securing the medal and ribbon in place.

But the pin has a spring mechanism, and when the medal or ribbon is pulled or jostled, it activates, and the two separate.

So the Winter Paralympics will get far more coverage on SS than the Winter Olympics lol.
