Hi there. So we have narrowed the issue down to a faulty Port , SFP module or device. The change mentioned yesterday was just our techs checking those 3 things on our side, however no change.

This means that it would be either of those 3 things on the other side(Vodacom).
Thus ,were just pending feedback from Vodacom as to when they will check those 3 factors to resolve the fault. They are still actively troubleshooting from their side.

Our Team just had a meeting with Vodacom. They are going to check their side with remote hands and inspect their equipment. They have logged access for teraco for today/tonight (No Confirmed time as of yet), so hopefully we will get a resolution by today..

Is the route to Lisbon from JHB live without a VPN?

Was playing Call of Duty BO7 last night and ended up on a 147ms lobby with British guys, which was probably Madrid.

Nah that route is only based with policy routing that we define.

The native latency from JHB to Lisbon is pretty low as it is.

Any success at Teraco? I am contemplating moving to a different ISP. Which would suck, seeing that your service has always been great and the problem is not with you.

Hi there. Sorry for the delays once again. So feedback from Vodacom states that they weren't able to resolve the fault last night, as it seems the cable between the cabinets is at fault here, and will need replacing. Our team has followed up on an ETR for this.
