Temu is running video ads on social media platforms in South Africa claiming shoppers can get an iPhone 17 Pro Max for free, but the offer is not what it appears.

The ads feature actors who emphasise that the deal is real and urge viewers to click through to the Temu app to claim the offer.

its all about getting eyeballs on screens.

I've saved hundreds of rands using the games in aliex. Multi-task and do it whilst watching TV or some other mindless task and it costs you nothing.

I tried buying something from Temu once, got spammed with this nonsense and just quit. Haven’t been back, I can’t take them seriously. Im not looking for Black Friday deals, I just wanted to buy something.

Its not just for that, all their promotions are fake.
Try the R1 deals, and why wouldnt one think its legit? I spend a small fortune with them monthly, so I would think its a good deal and would make some sense, well it never works and have many times complained to TEMU.
Simply, ignore all promotions and just buy what you came to get or what you like.
Nothing is for free and nothing is for R1.....EVER !!!

Sure, there's a lot of nonsense going on in their app, but they do have some pretty sweet promotions. I just ordered a bunch of stuff yesterday at VERY deep discount.

I’ve always used an internet browser. One day I decided to try the app. I gave up after 5 mins of games.
