Easter Weekend petrol price pain in South Africa

South Africans planning to travel long distances over the coming Easter Weekend should prepare to spend substantially more to cover some of the country's most popular routes.

In 2026, the long weekend will run from Friday, 3 April to Monday, 6 April. South Africa's fuel prices are adjusted on the first Wednesday of each month, which will fall on 1 April this year.
