South Africa's largest online travel app founded by a university dropout and an engineer with R12,000

Marcel van de Ghinste and Jonathan Womersley built the parent company of Lekkeslaap, South Africa's top online accommodation bookings platform, while in their mid-20s with just R12,000 for funding.

The pair met while starting their studies in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Cape Town in 2001.

I am definitely using them more than booking.com these days for local trips.

We have used them a couple of times. Their support is great and if there are issues they sort it out. Don't know anything about an ad. Usually they are also cheaper than others.
