Ethiopian from Dakar, the muppets decided to dispatch with no APU so when the aircraft did its enroute stop in Bamako they couldn’t get the aircraft started again
 
Years ago flew down to from jhb to cape town to visit then girlfriend, now wife. Flight back to jhb got canceled and everybody scrambled to get on the next flight out, I just asked for the first flight out in the morning and had another night at the girlfriend's place
 
Yes. Plane was too empty for them to make money. So they loaded everyone onto other flights. Caused a small delay.
 
Qatar refused to let myself and my family board on our way to UK because the credit card I used to book the flight had been cloned (and reported stolen) several months prior. Of course Qatar had received payment for the fights, and I had a replacement card, but they demanded a confirmation letter from my UK bank. By the time I was able to produce it our flight had gone, and we were forced to overnight at our own expense in JNB and missed a day of our trip.

Needless to say Qatar lost a customer, or four, that day.

It was a real pain in the ass getting sorted out. Eventually we were all booted and stuck at the airport for hours. (think it was 10 odd hours)

Kenya Airways - one of the shittiest airlines out there. There was no communication from them the entire time, we just randomly heard a boarding call for the new flight - and when all the passengers arrived they locked us in a small room, no bathrooms, no food, no water - for a further two odd hours until the flight was ready to board

Delays on the runway yesterday at OR Tambo. 30 or so planes all lined up. The Air Atlanta Icelandic on the runway next to us was quite a beauty.
 
Costs R5100 for 2 pals to fly from CPT to JHB on 20 August for the Boks vs All Blacks at Ellis Park.

Even booking way ahead is expensive. No more cheap flights.

And it's only up from here thanks to that orange rat's completely unnecessary war.
 
Yes - but I got 600.00 Euro compensation at least
