I have to wonder whether they would make the same proposal if they were in charge?

Probably not.. But there is possibly an avenue with them being in charge where only tens of millions get stolen, not billions so we wouldn't need an annually increasing levy and Raf and and and tacked onto the fuel price.I have to wonder whether they would make the same proposal if they were in charge?
They aren't talking about cuts.. Government has officially told people to suck it up.I just wonder how government are only talking about cuts now at the 11th hour.
Agreed but now the DA (part of government) is floating cutsThey aren't talking about cuts.. Government has officially told people to suck it up.
No.. In this instance the DA aren't part of government as they don't have that sort of sway over the relevant departments.Agreed but now the DA (part of government) is floating cuts
Nice, I have noted that President has noted the charges.
@lexity on the right. Damn, I didn't realize he was that young.
Pity there are no CFO/middle level managers in DA otherwise we would be seeing Indians in middle layer.
I guess if they were in charge we would have 90 days of oil reserves and 6 working refineries so there would be no increase next month.I have to wonder whether they would make the same proposal if they were in charge?
He needs another bath...
To maintain legitimacy of the GNU. When GNU was formed he said it was open to all parties, to keep their alliance partners and RET faction happy. ANC+DA coalition would have been enough, but the moaning would have been endless.President Ramaphosa must really like Groenewald because there is really no benefit in keeping the Freedom Front in the GNU.
As much as the fuel price sucks, I don't agree with meddling with the fuel levy. Its a very efficient tax and SA is on the edge with regards to its balance sheet already.

Yeah, back then it made sense, now, not so much, he should cut them lose to continue with their right wing agenda outside of government. To maintain legitimacy of the GNU. He couldn't exactly say it was open to all parties, except VF+. Then he may as well have added EFF and MK to the exception list...
