While war is a disruptor, one of the biggest mistakes was as usual the ANC's failure to maintain strategic fuel reserve, compounded by the fact that they have sold those reserves at below market price on at least two occasions already. Only holding 8 million barrels of crude instead of the 45 million they are supposed to hold is a massive blunder they need to be held accountable for.

Headlines next week - Loadshedding is back!

People will always overreact when something happens - the world will go on and it will all settle again people!

"blunder" you say?

My Alfa 2.4 diesel fuel consumption in urban cycle is 17,5km/l. Still better than petrol car.

Victim mentality is everywhere
I don't think it really is, it's just the media. Drama generates engamement, which is the ultimate goal here. Don't think the main goal is to keep the public informed.

I see this on social media also, negative posts, drama, exaggerated bad news, etc. That's why I abandoned FB a long time ago. IG is now the same. They post some dumbed down claim about some bad news in the first frame of a set of images, and then in the next few frames they explain what it actually is.

Judging from the comments, people hardly ever scroll past the first frame, and these guys know it.

A friend and colleague of mine has a WhatsApp status of "STOP DOOMSCROLLING" and he is 100% correct.

When the word "disaster" is used at every opportunity, what will a REAL DISASTER be called?

When leaders and msm are trying to calm everyone down then you know **** just got real. Everything else is a disaster. Generally speaking.
