Stop what you're doing right now and take a photo

OMF, another one! Just as I sat down, I saw my cat run past with something in his mouth, another bloody cobra! I jumped around clapping my hands like a madman, until he ran out of the house and dropped it on the stoep, where I chucked a pillow over it and grabbed a tub and braai tongs again, and quickly put him in a tub. Messaged snake dude again. 😅 Sadly, this one will need some TLC as it was bleeding around the neck and tail area, but will probably recover. Snake dude will collect after work and take to snake park.

I need to know the general area where you live to make sure I never go near it.
Southern Peninsula/Deep South. I grew up here and used to remove snakes for pocket money. Puff adders, mole snakes, slug eaters, house snakes, boomslang, etc. Cobras were quite rare and probably my least favourite snake to remove because of how fast they are; you turn your back, and they are gone!

Awesome area, that. I do feel a hint sadness that I'll never be able to see it again without wearing a Kevlar enforced, full body hazmat suit.

A smile for the day. My little Pomeranian, Rambo - will be 9 on the 2nd of May. Diabetic and fierce protector and the love of his mom's life. The Lion King of Margate. 🦁❤️
