Cool Ideas Fibre ISP – Feedback Thread 6

Yes mine was also down last night from midnight. this has been happening a lot lately. I think this is Opnserve not cool ideas but funny that it was exactly midnight for me. So please can cool ideas get some explanation for us and investigate so the chances of it happe3ning again is minimized. They need to inform customers of maintenance if it was that before they do it cause let's say ytou are working from home and do night shift or have something important to do that time.
Hi, if there is planned maintenance and we are aware of it we would send out notifications around it. If it is unplanned, which seems to be the case in your situation there isnt much we can do about it.

If your reliance on your connectivity is critical for your work or the likes then a backup is always going to be the only alternative to ensure you dont have disruptions.

Night shift working from home, I enjoyed the peace for a change
Trying to play some Battlefield 6 when it happened, didn't enjoy it so much

Sorry to be a pain, but nothing's actually changed. I received a credit for the cancelling line, which has yet to actually be cancelled, but my upgrade on the new line (30/30 to 500/200) is nowhere.

The problem apparently sits with Vuma not answering the phone. How can we make them answer the phone (legally!)
HI there, apologies for the continued delay, I see our team is still actively busy on the ticket (as of around 10 mins ago)
I have followed up with the, team as well, and someone should give you an update soon.

Hi, this should be sorted now?

Is there anyway to pay your account early by credit card?

It generates the statement on the first and says due on the first which is an annoying and leads to me often paying late. Ideally I would like to pay it on the 25th when I pay all my other bills but currently I pay everything besides cool ideas.

Additionally this month I won't be around on the 1st and want to pay my account before I disappear.

I tried asking support a few years back but they misunderstood me and just cancelled my debit order and told me they changed my payment method to credit card

Hi there, yes, you can always use the EFT option to pay your account, this will allocate it as Credit on the account, which is automatically deducted when the invoice is issued.

So if you pay on the 25th, those funds will sit in the account until it is deducted on the 1st.
Please be sure to use your correct Customer number for funds allocation.

Trying to avoid using EFTs is there any way to do it via credit card?

Not really as it would need to be a scheduled credit card debit before an invoice is generated, I don't think it is technically legal to debit a credit card without a service/invoice relative to it.

WHMCS has a new feature called on demand renewals https://docs.whmcs.com/9-0/billing-and-invoicing/on-demand-renewals/ you guys should look into it and have invoices send out 5 days before the due date, not on the due date.

Debit orders will only trigger on the due date

I was happy to pay it manually which is what I have to do now anyway . Assume that would have got around the legality issue. But assuming you don't allow that before the invoice is generated?

Alternatively am I correct in assuming you don't do scheduled credit card transactions on the 1st we hen the invoice is generated like a subscription service such as Netflix would do (this would be my first choice)? And that the only way to pay using credit card is manually and it can only be done on the 1st.

Some positive feedback!

We reported an issue with our internet this morning. If memory serves correctly, the ticket and issue were sorted in a few hours. Really happy with the service and turnaround. We even got a friendly recommendation for someone to assess our set up. Very happy.

We have become dependent on our connection for work and studying (varsity and school). So, thank you Cool Ideas :)
