Cool Ideas Fibre ISP – Feedback Thread 6

High latency and timeouts this morning on WoW, can't do any gaming. Highlighted IP keeps changing frequently between ae1-br01- and ae1-br02. Same result using the CISP VPN. Time for gardening...

Try the Madrid VPN instead of the UK vpn, it will solve it.

This issue has been happening since last night, it's on blizzards side in the UK, I was playing wow with friends from the UK and they were having the same issues as well. So I connected to the Madrid VPN to bypass blizzards UK POP.

The ips changing is normal, it's ECMP load balancing.

Thanks, will try it. As a point of interest Telkom LTE does not have the issue.

That makes sense, in that trace they are not routing to Blizzard via the UK, as long as their UK pop is avoided it's fine, hopefully Blizzard can fix it soon as the UK path has the best latency.

We can depeer Blizzard if its an ongoing issue in London

It is strange that Blizzard doesn't announce some of their prefixes at CE-CIX Madrid to CISP, such as:
37.244.29.250
66.40.183.96

Do you perhaps know if they selectively announce certain prefixes to some networks but not others in certain regions?

Is it just me or is everything timing out cant see past br1 router? Jinx & nap peering all down for me

It would be selectively announced, most major networks do this.

I was having a few issues with streaming last night. Netflix, IPTV service etc. but all seems ok this morning. In laws live with us in their little flat and couldnt watch something so were depressed last night 😂😂
