Wasting everyone's time is the worst thing he did in this case. I can see a year or two for defeating the ends of justice. The guy was filmed doing it. Then he lied about it and tried to throw others under the bus.
Not sure about 15 years, but it's not looking good for him. I'd be surprised if he got off lightly considering his behaviour and attitude.
Well.. He shoud get more than a warning but thats fhe most he will get probably. This is ridiculous. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff that he is actually guilty of that deserve that sentence, but this specific case should only be a warming. Nothing more.
No. It's not like he shot someone. This should not be a thing at all. If you want to be a Karen about it, some gun safety training.Well.. He shoud get more than a warning but thats fhe most he will get probably.
Lol... Your own common sense should tell you not to discharge an ak 47 the way he did at an event... I doubt any gun training will help him..No. It's not like he shot someone. This should not be a thing at all. If you want to be a Karen about it, some gun safety training.
We don’t know where the bullets ended up.No. It's not like he shot someone. This should not be a thing at all. If you want to be a Karen about it, some gun safety training.
That means he is innocent and did not commit any real crime. Negligence in itself is not a crime. We don’t know where the bullets ended up.
Except when you have a law that says you may not discharge a firearm in a built-up area, contravening that is a crime. Doesn't matter what you think or feel about it.That means he is innocent and did not commit any real crime. Negligence in itself is not a crime.
If you found one of the bullets in a dead kid I would say guilty of murder.
I wonder how many times Rietie's mom dropped him on the head? That means he is innocent and did not commit any real crime. Negligence in itself is not a crime.
If you found one of the bullets in a dead kid I would say guilty of murder.
We'll see. Some of the cases that come up for the 15 years has additional charges attached, like illegal possession and attempted murder.Except when you have a law that says you may not discharge a firearm in a built-up area, contravening that is a crime. Nah trollie you're just making shyte up.. The law is very clear and he contravened it, finish and klaar. We'll see. Some of the cases that come up for the 15 years has additional charges attached, like illegal possession and attempted murder.
Not just being windgat and negligent.
I'm talking about legal principles, way above the understanding of some of you guys who just want to punish your political opponent. Really stupid when you can easily be on the receiving end in SA
Then by the same logic majority of all traffic laws are "unpunishable"That means he is innocent and did not commit any real crime. Negligence in itself is not a crime.
If you found one of the bullets in a dead kid I would say guilty of murder.
I'm not disagreeing with you on the severity of the prescribed sentence. I think it is disproportionate to a lot of other crimes. But the fact remains that it is there and to deviate from it will require some fancy footwork from his legal team or crooked judge. We'll see. 100%. I am against speed limits. Then by the same logic majority of all traffic laws are "unpunishable"
"Sorry officer but me speeding at 240km/h didn't cause any accidents therefore I didn't commit a crime"
That's the max. According to the prescribed sentencing guidelines he could just get a fine and criminal conviction, which I still think is harsh for a victimless "crime".I'm not disagreeing with you on the severity of the prescribed sentence. Ja jong. That's the max. According to the prescribed sentencing guidelines he could just get a fine and criminal conviction, which I still think is harsh for a victimless "crime".
So if I do the same, would you also advocate for me to not get sentenced. That's the max. According to the prescribed sentencing guidelines he could just get a fine and criminal conviction, which I still think is harsh for a victimless "crime".

I know for a fact (based on the color of my skin) that if I was to discharge a FA in the public, I would be sitting with my ass in jail and my home would be raided to search for other FA's

Now is not the time to advocate gun freedom. This is ridiculous. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff that he is actually guilty of that deserve that sentence, but this specific case should only be a warming. Nothing more.
