A threat actor has threatened to leak 1.2TB of confidential data stolen from Standard Bank

How much are they charging you for a new card/card replacement?

As far as I have it nothing but haven't received feedback or the new card. Think names, ids and company documents also leaked fml.. Now probably going to get numerous scams calls again 😔

When Standard Bank leaked our company docs, a scammer called "from SARS" asking for the names of 5 suppliers. Which was obviously just one of the steps in the scam.

But when SARS phones - I always tell them one thing: send a notice on e-filing or email (if you are smart enough to know how to check the valid from info in properties)

Yeah issue is if they have all your info they often phone as your Bank, Sars, police, insurance etc and sometimes the scam is very believable as "they have all your info". Many older folkes get scammed and was also almost caught but the scammers transfered to the local police station and they answered immdediately so was obivously a scam.

Got a call a couple of weeks back. They said something about receiving a statement and suspicious transactions. I said, hold on let me get the CVV of my card. They dropped the call.

Lol they phoned me and apparenlty my card details was leaked so they will send me a new card. I guess the real question is how much data was leaked and what else was stolen ?

After their rediculous lounge access policy change its time for me to move to Investec, RMB and Discovery I guess.
All them will get hacked at some point, if not already.

Usual total incompetence we are used to seeing from the corporate world, and of course they will deny any liability for their own failure if you suffer a loss. This is a good argument to refuse to give companies your information. Going to have to deal with security companies scanning ID books and license discs as well.
