FNB eBucks update

FNB's loyalty rewards programme eBucks has continued to record substantial growth in 2026, with points payouts and usage rising.

That is according to FNB eBucks CEO Pieter Woodhatch, who provided MyBroadband with an update on the programme's performance in 2026.

Haven't bothered with eBucks since they started changing the scheme and points on a regular basis. No one gets to control or shape my behaviour.

They show growth but the general concensus is people are moving away?

I'm busy moving my stuff to another bank. Haven't been bothered with eBucks since their November sneaky change.

eBucks have been so watered-down it's not even worth taking about anymore so FNB is now forced to publish drivel like this to try and drum up interest. Sad!

Ebucks done for me after they left checkers for shitty PnP. Air Fairs restricted, Car hire is NOT cheaper through them anymore, istore restricted. Downgraded my monthly account as well. They want you to take insurance and other things to get eBucks. Looking at other options.

Which bank to move to though?
Investec seems to be the way to go.

I'm not sure if RMB offers better service under the FirstRand umbrella. Perhaps some here might have some experience, but FNB have given up on meaningful customer service. I think the amateur-hour people they're calling COOs are focussed on taking cost out of the business and that is the only area they're meaningfully and deliberately hurting.

Used to get +-600 bucks a month. Now it’s <100. Planning a move to Discovery, or Revolut if they launch soon enough

How do you downgrade your account?
I don't see a in app option.

I got a push notification on my app to 'diarize payday' at 5pm on 15th. 😂 After payday has already happened!

On the positive side, I like Pick pay. I like the smart shopper program. But ASAP aren't as fast as checkers
