Liverpool FC supporters thread - 2017/18 Season

Apparently Konate deal is close 300k a week.. At this rate we might become the next Chelsea
 
For Konate? That’s insane. Close to Salah. That’s even worse when compared like that.

What’s happened to their wage structure these days?
 
Yeah think Gravenberg also got a bumper deal after 1 good season. Sobz is probably our main concern assume he will want more and if we are just handing out bumper contracts can't blame him.

Hope Salahs injury is not serious but when your 3rd choice goalie is mom ita not a great look. We should get Champions league but tough games coming up and I have lost all confidence in Slot.
 
Another year of this kak.

Even worse the management of this club think this standard of play is acceptable.

Yeah at least we capitalized in the United Errors but I fear if we get a result Slot has another season although I think he probably already has.
 
Missed the first 30 minutes of the game but my goodness how far have we fallen. Grav on a new contract strolling around in the middle of the park and Jones (the Scouser) just didn't look that commited in the end. The fact we had to pasd the ball to a 17 year old just to create chances sums it up our performance. Slot has lost teh dressing room so will be intresting to see how it plays out when the season ends.
 
We were gifted 2 goals by United having brain farts so I gave Dom my MOM vote for at least being switched on for that. I realize that we have suffered more than our share of bad luck this season, but if the powers that be have identified the problems, surely they would be doing something about it now? All I see is a couple of weeks of marginally better results followed by a half-arsed performance of total mediocrity. I didn’t get excited when we equalized because I just knew we’d shoot ourselves in the foot yet again. I was right. I still think Slot should go, along with Hughes and Edwards.
 
da **** is wrong with macca this season? yesterday he couldn't even manage to clear that ball properly...should get an assist for their winning goal. ffs

I think Salah going helps you guys a ton as his wages. Isak will be a different beast next season and Rio should get more game time to hopefully develop into a Salah replacement. You need a better RB and a backup LB and if Spurs gets relegated then go all out for Van Der Wen. For the most part you haven't played poorly this season, I still think you'll played better than us (Man Utd) this season.

Yeah with a few signings we could have a proper squad with real quality the biggest concern is the coach, Slot has definately lost the dressing room no idea how all our players have seen such a drop of this season besides Sobz no one has really turned up.

Question is do you sack him for Alonso or let him have the summer. Remember with a WC the transfer window and pre season will be messed up so rather the devil you know. I'm in favour of Carrick getting a year and we make a proper decision for next summer so whomever the coach is can be signed in advance. Pie in the sky stuff but I hope it's possible.

I would sack him for Alonso, hed had an incredible six months then starting tailing off for over a year... The problem is if you don't get Alonso now he is not waiting another year... Man U should fedinately give Carrick a year and take it from there.

I see lots of fans are headed in the Alonso direction and it makes sense but I am a bit concerned if they get him and it goes wrong especially seeing how the 'big club' pressure at Madrid let to his departure. On the flip side you could end up with a ETH situation like us and sack Slot after a month into the new season and end up in a worse situation.

Don't think he did bad at Real, they were 2nd and think he only lost a few games. The real issue with Madrid is lots of the players have massive ego's and won't defend or play as part of a team (There next manager is going to struggle unless he can manage their egos which is almost impossible). Alonso might not work aout but would atleast try as Slot is not working either especially with the quality of players we have. The fact we are getting out run in 90% of our games shows we also have a conditioning issue on top of various other problems.
