Protein powder options

Cheapest option is this: https://www.takealot.com/psnlifestyle-mrp-whey-protein-nutella-waffle-1kg/PLID90356823

I have been using t for 2 months with no ill effect, I am still cutting at the moment so keeping up protein intake is vital.

Tastes pretty decent too and is easy on the stomach.

I used whey isolate USN, the link you posted and settled on this eventually as its significantly better bang for buck
Also use the PSN stuff. I think it's called Rogue Legion now. I've used most of them from Optimum Nutrition to USN to other overseas brands. The PSN mixes easy and does the job.

I started using Titan's whey and it's the best I've tried since Evox stopped making their 100% whey advanced stuff. That double dutch chocolate...God damn!

I'm pretty much in the same boat haha.

Always been kinda skinny but I'm pretty lean now too. Workout every single weekday morning, light exercises on weekends which are pretty much my rest days.

Personally I choose to stay away from protein powders. Used to buy them a lot but I feel like there's too much sugar in the stuff. And the good quality ones are too pricey. I feel better without them tbh.

For my post-workout breakfasts I usually just do eggs (scrambled or omelette with veg. Hate eggs but decided to start eating it again to up my protein a bit), high protein yogurt like Greek yogurt or those protein-specific yogurts mixed with almonds and honey, and something like oats or even weetbix with milk, fruit. That's on Mon, Wed and Fri.

On Tue and Thu I might have whole wheat bread/toast or rice cakes with a generous amount of unsweetened peanut butter and topped with tuna mayo (tastes great imo), sometimes avo, and some high protein yogurt again mixed with honey, seeds.

For lunch I might do chicken/veg or chicken salad or something when I can or some sort of healthy sandwich, crackers or whatever, fruit, nuts etc. Whatever I have on the day or can get really. And as South Africans, nothing wrong with some lean biltong to snack on :)

Things like rice, pasta, potato, red meats, other fish or chicken, other cooked veggies or salads etc I only eat for dinner.

I don't like to eat too much during the day so there's little to no snacking in between.

And I pretty much only drink water and lots of it.

Yikes..... this is mostly a pea protein issue

Protein Powders and Shakes Contain High Levels of Lead

Protein supplements are wildly popular, but CR’s tests of 23 products found that more than two-thirds of them contain more lead in a single serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day

Yet for all the industry’s growth and rebranding, one thing hasn’t changed: Protein powders still carry troubling levels of toxic heavy metals, according to a new Consumer Reports investigation. Our latest tests of 23 protein powders and ready-to-drink shakes from popular brands found that heavy metal contamination has become even more common among protein products, raising concerns that the risks are growing right alongside the industry itself.

For more than two-thirds of the products we analyzed, a single serving contained more lead than CR’s food safety experts say is safe to consume in a day—some by more than 10 times.

I dont know why people really bother with powders when all they need to do is eat lots of eggs, chicken , beans and lots of peanut butter

These people legit?

These people legit?

I use thier vegan powder and initially I diddnt like it and now its my go to - I find why far too "rich"

for the whey chech which one suits you they boost aminos in the one version - is this good / bad who knows

These people legit?

I have got some stuff from them, seems decent.
It also seems they source lots of their raw ingredients from China, which doesn't fill me with confidence, how do people feel about that?

After googling that issue it seems China Supplies most of the world with many of their raw supplement ingredients but you'll never see that stated on the packaging because product origin laws don't require that to be listed unless it was also packaged in China.

Bought the below for a second time, this past March. It's nice and plain and I try add it to my NPL Platinum Plus which is far too sweet I try to make it half and half.

R 1,299.00 - My Wellness Super Nature's Whey Protein - Unflavoured / 3kg × 1
