One that also comes to mind is the late 80s TV series "Tour of Duty". It was dubbed into Afrikaans and aired as "Sending Vietnam".

This was an epic series back in the dad. I would watch it with my dad. Good times!

One of the first "complicated" intros I learnt to play on the guitar... google, tabs and my dad's guitar.

its the only theme songs that watching the theme was as important as watching the episode because it set the tone.

there are other ones that are bangers, like Thundercats, TNMT, Buffy, smallville, Big bang and so on but those 4 are ones that create a feeling that you are about to be entertained rather than an advertising jingle for a show if that makes sense. also its personal taste so others might feel the same about other shows and that is fine.
