I need to engrave a basic logo onto some hard plastics.

It is for prototyping of a product, so will be relatively low volume. The logos will be square blocks, either 5x5mm or 10x10mm in size.

Will a cheap temu 5watt laser mounted to a creality ender 3Dprinter be sufficient?

Nope. You need to find someone that can do it properly, especially with plastics. We had a signage guy that we used mirror letters, the machine didnt work well, and left marks on all the letters. We had to wait for another machine for them to replace it. So I wont trust a cheap machine as its quite specialised.

What colour plastic? That makes a significant difference especially with the diode lasers.

Laser etching and engraving usually have better results on lighter colours and harder materials.
Probably better to look at printing options rather.

Guys. Please tell me what I am missing here? I’m clearly making a fool of myself with what I have asked or stated, but I really don’t get what the joke is.

I just want to have a logo and perhaps a part/serial number laser etched onto some plastic parts. What are all the hail satan jokes about?
