IRAN WAR: You can't lose, if you don't have a goal

Do you think the regime is any less entrenched now?

Probably what every other country that has developed Nukes has done, use them as a deterrent again hostile action and not actually use them because of the massive consequences such a use would bring (even the nutty North Koreans haven't used theirs)
North Korea just updated their nuclear doctrine to automatically launch if dear ruler is assassinated.

I think it is more fractured - there are moderates and and hardliners jockying for position now. But yes, it may well be the opposite.

And I'm glad you are such an optimist - we have seen Iran willing to attack its own neighbors with ballistic missiles to hold them hostage.

I personally believe they would go a step further.

Not really seeing it myself...

With conventional weapons. They have never used weapons such as biological or chemical weapons, things that would turn world perception against them. Using Nukes would destroy their standing on the world stage and I doubt that Russia or China would defend them if they did.

But they still attacked their neighbours.

Which, ironically, as has been said about the US being bit in the butt by these events, will also come back to haunt Iran, I reckon.

Gulf states are not going to rely on US only for defence, going forward.

When have they ever? They all have fully functional militaries with a wide range of weapons from different suppliers. Their air forces alone contain a mix of European, US, Russian, Korean and Pakistani fighter aircraft

But missile defences? Their own drones and ballistic missiles?

They are going to throw many, many billions at their military. Iran will see it's ass in the future, methinks.

Then again, it would be better all round if everybody stopped fighting and minded their own business. Including not wanting to develop nukes to wipe other nations off the face of the earth.

Yes, I imagine the US kidnapping of Maduro and the Assination of Ali Khamenei has made them a bit paranoid. Putting something like this into law is clearly their attempt at deterring this kind of action against them,

Also the reason the US do not want Iran to have nukes.

But who they going to launch at lol ?

Are they going to draw a name from a hat or something ?

So they can assasinate leaders with impunity?
They can threaten their neighbours with impunity and push the button with a lot less safeguards than the US or Russia.

But who they going to launch at lol ?
South Korea most likely, Seoul is only 60km from the North Korean border. The threat of them nuking Seoul in retailiation for a US assasination would probably give the US pause.

I am trying to figure out how all the videos from Lebanon is relevant to this thread since there is a thread for that specific conflict. If they are deemed relevant then they become proof of Iran breaking the "cease fire" on a daily basis.

I see the twit-bot bro claims he doesn't know where the thread is, yet also posts in it.
