Former Eskom CEO's warning about the South African power system

Former Eskom CEO Jacob Maroga has said Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Mteto Nyati, and Dan Marokane's team at the power utility have turned around the biggest power crisis in the country's history.

However, he warned that South Africa isn't out of the woods and that its power system remains a contested space locally and internationally.

Thanks to the solar capacity brought online by individuals, that is what saved them. They have not increased energy production. The moment the economy starts to grow (if ever) load shedding will be back as the demand will increase and they dont have capacity

At least EAF has stopped dropping, which is a good sign I guess just before winter hits:

Historically EAF drops during summer and goes up during winter, this year is been the other way round for the first time in 100 years.

I call this the Andre effect. Its is now wearing off.

And what about that white guy who exposed everything and said what should be done?

I think as the economy grows so will solar. Any company that starts up here without being self sufficient would be stupid.

I'm sure their voter base believes every word and adore them but most of us know bovine flora when we hear it and easily dismiss the nonsense a sentence or two in.

Only 5% of the voter base is on twitter. That's the whole voter base, not just ANC.

This is a load of nonsense former CEO or not. Don't know how he measured the efficiencies compared to Europe!!!. Let them publish the financial statements and measure employee costs to income and then compare. If households and business did not switch to alternate sources we would be up the creek without a paddle. CEO put that in your pipe abd smoke it
