WWDC 2025 and iOS 26 Discussion

Kinda pissed that we don’t have access to playlist playground.

The feature i was most looking forward to in this update!
 
Nice finally iCloud.com search. Strange that it uses the phone to search but it works well. Probably designed so for those of us with advanced data protection enabled.

Read that it uses the phone to search to keep privacy in tact.
Otherwise everything would be indexed by iCloud defeating the privacy measures.
 
I noticed significantly increased battery drain after 26.4. The update to 26.5 improved the battery drain problem quite a bit but I still see the battery running down quicker than before. Anyone else suffering similarly?

No still getting 5 - 6h sot on my 17 and two days between charges.

For me 26.5 has been amazing on battery life but 26.4 had seen slight reduction in battery life…or at least at first it wasn’t staying in the 90% region as long as it used to but still had great battery life, while 26.5 feels more like 26.3 which was truly amazing.
Still easily get well over 8-10h SOT, this is on my 17 Pro Max.

My 15PM yesterday got 9.5h SOT after 26.5.

Super happy with it, seems like they're finally optimizing 26 for the older devices.

Exactly this, iOS 26 has finally hit stability and great performance all round.

Battery life on iOS 26.5 this weekend has been insane, even better than I had in 26.3, I think if I had the energy my 17 PM could hit 12-14h SOT easily but I simply cannot use it that much lol.
 
Has everyone downloaded the Apple Sports app yet? It became available for South Africa and it has thoroughly implemented Live Activities so well, will be great for FIFA World Cup.

Busy keeping up with F1 right now with it and I am truly impressed…
