Hi there, normally not within our control unfortunately, what does the trace look like when the lantency is high?Hey @CoolEscalator recently Fortnite moved their Middle East servers, & with that move we in South Africa are getting better ping.
I have been noticing something strange. I believe I have the new Middle East server IP, & for some reason the ping times change randomly. See the ping plotter below. (i also see these ping spikes in-game.) It's quite frustrating. Is it something that can be fixed on Cool Ideas side? When I use ExitLag or Lagester, this does not happen.Thank you!

If they swapped from AWS to google for the middle east route it should be way better. Overwatch uses google and it was always up when AWS was down. They are in different regions though, overwatch in dubai and the new FN server is qatar I believe
So is this to the middle east?
Hi, this looks line related. Please log if it continues.Anyone else in Durban dealing with really bad packet loss?View attachment 1910149
I believe so, yes.So is this to the middle east?
I've also experienced it with the new middle east server, hopefully it's not permanentI believe so, yes. When running PingPlotter to that IP & playing Fortnite, the ping fluctuations match up.
Yeah normally its only for a few minutes then comes back. Goes to like 220 ms at most, then the next game its fixed.I've also experienced it with the new middle east server, hopefully it's not permanent

Sure will report to the team to investigate. Thanks for letting us know.Hey, so for the last few days I've been playing Escape From Tarkov a lot on their JHB based servers and for the past day or 2 I've been getting constantly kicked from certain servers with the game telling me that I have high packet loss, so I managed to pull the one server IP and there definitely seems to be an issue. It's a bit strange because my friend who plays with me doesn't experience any issues so I don't think it's server related.

So the team have investigated, seems like an issue on the peer side. You may find the other ISP in question doesn't peer with them in KZN. If it continues we will depeer them and backhaul to JHB.Hey, so for the last few days I've been playing Escape From Tarkov a lot on their JHB based servers and for the past day or 2 I've been getting constantly kicked from certain servers with the game telling me that I have high packet loss, so I managed to pull the one server IP and there definitely seems to be an issue. Ah I see, my friend is from Pretoria on Afrihost so that makes sense. Thanks so much for looking into it, the trace looks way better now. I'll let you know if the issue pops up again but I think it should be good now.So the team have investigated, seems like an issue on the peer side. But they will try make a change to work around it.
