Ramaphosa signs new rules for businesses in South Africa into law

So much easier just not to have a business registered in SA. Just too much rules, regulation and red tape. Besides, starting up abroad still offers you easier registration, less government interference, access to bigger markets and stronger buying power. Just too much government interference in South Africa aimed to take away control of your business and hand it to government.

And many people still wonder why so many companies are closing down in South Africa, delisting from the JSE, scaling down operations, move more operations abroad and retrenching locals - sending unemployment sky high....

Even foreign companies have to comply with local requirements if they want to do business in South Africa.

Out of the 300-400 million registered businesses, how many of them invest and deal in South Africa? Probably around 1,800 of them if you do not take into consideration those that already started scaling down and started the process of leaving SA the past year.

My thing is, you do not have to subject your business to oppressive governments with bad economies and small buying power. Rather start up, register and do business in another country where you are subject to fewer government involvement, bad laws, crazy requirements and have access to much bigger buying power to grow your business.

Yeah sure. Because every business can just be spun up overseas while sitting in SA.

My business is in South Africans, dealing with South Africans...

Issue is also with prospective businesses, if you are young and have some ideas or planing to start then overseas option might be more enticing.
Brain drain and decline of people with entrepreneurial spirit is seriously affecting future of SA.
