Got around to watching this last night. I think it's IMDB rating of 7/10 is accurate. While it didn't blow my socks off, it certainly wasn't mediocre either. I didn't once feel bored or distracted while watching it. Perhaps that's because I found Russell Crowe's portrayal of Hermann Goring pretty good.

After recently rewatching the awesomeness that was Band of Brothers I have finally started watching Masters of the Air. 2 episodes in and its not bad, but the IMDB ratings so far seem accurate for the series

Band of brothers 9.4/10
The Pacific 8.3/10
Masters of the air 7.8/10

A very different war for those airmen though. Different to the soldiers stuck on the front line for weeks on end never getting a break from danger/death. These guys lived in relative comfort and luxury on base but went into such incredible danger on each mission. The crazy contrast of that is well represented. I just don't particularly like the one main character and how he is portrayed (the Buck who likes to sing).
