MyBB Motorcycle Owners Thread (2nd gear)

Thing is if it’s not too full those are easy to spot and pass and then you often have the rest of the lap all to yourself.
They weren't too keen on letting you into the beginner class. The beginner class was semi reserved for raw beginners. No 'unsanctioned' overtaking allowed, with many riders chaperoned by an instructor. So intermediate it is, unless you are are a real racer.

I feel like they just don't want to say it out loud but the F800 is for the ladies effectively.

They used to offer lowered suspension options and so forth, but I think that became more of a hassle to manage than simply having a model that's lower by default.
I'm offended. My 750GS Sport is also lowered - I'm no lady

Yeah I guess it will change come one session to another and how many people there are.

I actually seem to recall it might not have been called beginner last time I went.

Is there any online shop to buy gear that I'm somehow missing? I'm looking for some riding jeans or leathers that would fit with an RST Tractech evo 5 jacket. I'm looking online and I can't find any. Trac-mac, Motorcycle World, Bike Kings. The online selection seems very limited. Is it better to go in store or are there other online shops I'm missing?

I find it better to go into a store close by, after searching online.
I only visited 5 stores from the below and some of the rest I've never used.

A few times Trac-mac and Motorcycle World didn't have what I looked for online and they had it in store.
The dealerships are also an option. Droomers ordered everything I asked for in store when I bought my previous bike.

Any interesting bikey things going on with you guys?
April marked my first year of full bike license.
Went out to Donington for BSB a couple of weeks back which was a pretty damn good day out. And we’ll be at the SBK race there in July.
Been riding for the last two months but mostly on the scooter. Need to get a proper ride in this weekend.

Got a new machine, a cruiser. It's weird not being able to see over cars when lane splitting.
I have had the DB killer out of my bike for a couple weeks, it's crazy loud, too loud.
yesterday went for a ride and for the first time in my 9 years of riding cars were parting like I was Moses.

Still it's too loud so the DB killer is going back in today.
Some companies like Wings will provide multiple DB killers so you can set your own level of acceptable audio hooliganism. 😅

This is cool.

Trackday next? I heard California Superbike School had been reinstated. One of the best things I’ve done.

Congrats on the Benda Napoleonbob. Nice machine.

waiting for my Wings muffler to be delivered for my new KTM 1390 super adventure - quite excited! Love Wings, have one on my 1290 as well

Thanks for that, they did not come up in my searches at all. And they do bike hire. Not even super keen on training but riding Redgate to Coppice looks like something that has to be done. Even at a mild pace it seems to flow so beautifully.

Done a few tracks over the multiple levels with them. They will revolutionise how you ride. Brands Indy was a lot of fun.

The other options are to do an adventure course out in Wales or Bikesafe with the plod.

Congrats on the Benda Napoleonbob. Nice machine.
Bonneville Bobber. Tiiiny bit bigger engine. 😅 Could make an argument for the styling, I suppose.
Yeah must say that was weird every time I’ve ridden that kind of bike, feels very closed in.
In traffic it definitely feels like you're a bit surrounded. Even so, 100x better than taking a car in to work. Plus... it just looks freakin' amazing.

Fabulous. Any pics?

I have the x-pipe and Vance&Hines on my Bonnie. Such a life affirming thing to ride around on.

I've got the x-pipe but it's running stock cans still. Want to put the Motone shorties on, but first things first - got to sort out the rear fender/lights situation. Thinking of Picos and then just removing the fender completely for a while.

Haven't taken it anywhere worth a pic yet, just to work; I'll post up something over the weekend. Don't really want to post garage glamour shots.
