City of Johannesburg achieved 0% on three core performance targets

I don't see a target for potholes fixed, or tar roads maintained.

Based on the gravel road one, I suppose it means the tar roads with potholes must first deteriotate to gravel, before it gets measured under this target, awesome :

Problem is 12.5km target now, will need to be 15000km in a few years. At the current rates that will meen 2% achievment 98% missed.

Go Joburg.

The Rea Vaya thing I can fully understand. A UJ student I know was trying to use it and every day was a struggle of pay system issues, busses not showing up and an array of issues -- eventually just bought a cheap older car on auction and fixed it up. That was in 2023 (peak load-shedding). Supposedly the pay system has been upgraded since, but given the lack of useful routes and the multiple hops to get anywhere, I am not surpised there are so few riders.

A car with chonky high profile tyres and reasonable fuel consumption still gets over most of JHB roads that feign existence and will still be more reliable.
