Government considering new RAF tax because of EVs: Creecy

What if the Ferrari only drives once a month (cos its even more speshuler than his "panelbeater" bodged skedonk)
Hmm then he's all at fault, isn't that how it works? The one who drives less is less risky?

Well that is a fair comment as most Ferraris are not daily drives and only come out for special events or Sunday drives.

Did you miss the personal liability portion by any chance?
Liability is not the same as injury or expenses. You'll find damages already covered is excluded. If there's hospital expenses that can be covered by the state or medical aid it's excluded. Personal liability covers when you are legally found to be liable. 3rd party truly only covers the bare basics. It's not this magic bullet you make it out to be so I don't know why you even put up a big fuss about it. If it replaces RAF it would need an entire overhaul.

What does the R10m cover?
Mostly only property damage.

But like you don't know how insurance works, and he does. Its all marketing speak obviously.

Lol... This gets posted then a few minutes later..

i knew people that got paid out from road accident fund.. not cool what happened but the amounts are crazy its no suprise they cant deal with 45mil annually

I hope you don't ever find out the hard way about proportional damages. Let me put it this way. If a yahoo in his Ferrari drives into you, he's at fault no? Well you'll find a judge will most likely apportion 10% of the blame to you. So the Ferrari driver has to cover 90% of the damage and you'll have to cover 10%. 10% of a written off Ferrari is going to cost a fair chunk of change.
That's not how proportionality works. It's where more than one party is at fault they are each assigned a proportion based on their responsibility. It does not override the responsibility of the party at fault. It does not mean you're 10% responsible for the damage of the guy in a Ferrari. In the case where two parties are at fault for their damage they're usually responsible for their own damage.

They're not lying but read the fine print. They usually don't cover what's already covered. Meaning if a car is already covered by insurance they don't pay and if medical expenses are covered they don't pay. They pay when you are found legally liable.
