FNB announces enhancements to its eBucks Rewards loyalty programme

Don’t you eat?
Fill up with petrol?
Use Netflix?
Have insurance?
Have a savings account?

I think people get to level 3 by accident … simply by living. I’d need to go out my way to get only R80 …
Literally very little needs to be done to get to level 4, it's only level 5 that you may need a bit of fiddling with the new rules. But I mean just living gives you level 4 and at level 4 you can come out with 2k a month easily.

What are these hoops everyone talks about? I’d love to know. What is amazing though is how the people who are missing out on money for nothing complain about missing out on money for nothing as if they are being clever 🤣 It’s crazy, imagine trying to have a go at me for making about R6k a month because you can’t be arsed.

Anyway, I spent a good 10 minutes and checked the new rules, and without having to do a thing I stay on level 5.

Man, I wish I was clever enough not to care.
I know, last month, bought dog food, presents, paid for some steam vouchers, air time, petrol with ebucks... I mean I check it once a month to see how my rewards are going and once every 2 months check on the home side. It just seems people are lazy and moan, when getting ebucks isn't even that hard. I wonder how many people are sitting on without even realising it.

What’s that got to do with eBucks?

Also many apps - especially local - are inferior on iOS. Isn’t that you’re using?

@bwana look - I think you need to take a look at this off topic post
Seems he deleted his rant, cause that deserved a grumpy cat. Cause it doesn't have anything to do with ebucks at all.

I wouldn't say "just living" .
You have to have a fair amount of debt, investment and insurance to get to level 4 ....but then that is exactly to point of a loyalty/rewards program . "Use our products and we will reward you" . It is most definitely a choice

I have a home loan and a car with them, no investment besides a normal saving account and no insurance with them either. The insurance, debt and investment is what is needed for easy level 5.
Level 4 is, salary comes in, use app, pay bill, buy airtime, electricity and voucher, savings account with positive value, home loan.

Don't bother these people don't think rational that why they stand in line at Pnp Clothing to pay a bill you can just pay online in 5 seconds.

No debt or insurance here, unless you want to count home loans.

But I did pump the investment which wasn’t that hard, just moved money over that was sitting in my home loan.

It seems you're confusing these people with yourself here. Especially after reading your little rant about the "hoops". A few people thought they were gypoing the system by doing that. But most would just pay via the app in 5 seconds and actually get the points to go up a level rather then the 20 bucks from the bill payment.
Also standing in line? Do you still like physically go into shops? Is that why you can't understand the concept of shopping elsewhere? You still don't use delivery?

Ah yes everybody is similar I forgot that.
Uhmm did you forget to change accounts again? Cause you're the muppet who said these people lumping everyone into a group... When proven wrong you come up with this intelligent reply?

Seems people just love to moan for the sake of moaning, reward program changes things and bam suddenly it's making it jump through hoops and it makes it like they don't care blah blah. It's a freaking rewards programme, it does require you to use some of their products, but it's not the hardest one I've ever been on. Discovery vitality was.

It baffles me how many think they should just get it for handed over and then at the same rate at the next person.

It’s always going to benefit the person with more products…that is literally why it exists is to reward the person who spends or uses the entity in questions product the most.

Even better are the bottom tier packages complaining that the top tier gets more…wat? Of course they do because they use and spend far more and bring in profit.

It does feel that way, it's not even like FNB charges for ebucks like Std Bank does for Ucount (that was pretty useless when I had it) probably why that doesn't get as many hits or complaints?
Ebucks can be an easy way to make some money, but it is a rewards programme, yes it's free, but you do need to actually give FNB something.

I think they charged at one point but then it was offset by some of the rules.

Don’t even remember.
