Checkers and Woolworths fighting over your cats and dogs

Checkers in my area is something to be avoided when it comes to pet food and treats to be honest, PnP always has the best selection in that department.

I sometimes get dog food via Sixty60. Funnily enough they often send along a pack or 2 of free bags of treats with the purchase. A nice surprise.

Sounds like an.. .explosive combination.

That being said... do not buy pet food from either. Vet has the good stuff.

May be wrong but pretty sure both mentioned retailers were pushing those contaminated foods..... RCL?

I think it's the branch in my area to be honest, been to a store in another area which has a much better range so it's not a 'Checkers' thing in general.

My local Checkers stocks the same brands my local pet shop stocks. It's not all Bob Martin's etc. The stuff where I'd worry about my pet's health feeding it to them. It's also quite a bit cheaper than what I pay at my local pet shop for the same brand.

Must admit I thought this was standard for all Checkers. Surprised to hear you have less choice.

This includes Checkers PetShop Science, Woolworths’ Absolute Pets and SPAR’s Pet Storey.
Absolute Pets is the only one we use on a regular basis, mostly because they're the most convenient and stock our old boy's food and soft biscuits.
