Former EOH director's application dismissed by Financial Services Tribunal

The Financial Services Tribunal has dismissed former EOH director Anushka Bogdanov’s application to overturn her censure by the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) for falsely claiming to have a PhD.

The bourse publicly censured Bogdanov and fined her R500,000 in 2025, as well as disqualified her from holding the office of a director or officer of a JSE-listed company for 10 years.

She 'thought' she had a PhD...

wait what?
how did it jump to this in the article with no backstory.
Yeah it was all pretty standard until that part. Phew. I mean I get it, you leave the country and claim the doctorate you would have been awarded if it wasn't for a threesome. Imagine having to disclose that in legal proceedings, and then having that reported to the whole country. Ouch.

What do you mean? The backstory is right there... She went to defend her thesis, came home to find her husband having a threesome with faculty members of the university she attended, then fled home and assumed she had a PhD. Then later discovered those same two ladies she caught her husband with had criminally altered the university's records.

Speaking under correction but pretty sure the back story has already been disputed by the institution, and no one was ever found to have criminally altered anything.
