Amazon Prime launched for R59 per month in SA

I buy a few things quite regularly from Amazon, no brainer to take the annual sub at R400.

I believe takelots equivalent is R99 per month, Checkers Xtra savings plus which gives your free delivery is also about R99 per month. So when you compare, its a bargain

Cloud gaming you say.....

Luna is not yet available in the country your Amazon account is currently configured to: South Africa. See the current list of supported countries here. If your country configuration is incorrect, follow these instructions.
I dont think the Luna team got the message yet

I was able to sign in but I can only claim some games the service has like Mafia II

Still early days though and we should get access
Prime with Luna was a no brainer since Rain ****ed up whatever geforce now was trying to be

Still zillions of things you can't get on Amazon but on TAL.

Yea I'm still suprised that Amazon hasn't started shipping their devices yet, maybe they just don't think the money is there yet. Probably want to become a household name in SA first. They are heavily targeting essentials which means they think there's more money in selling dog food than electronics at the moment.

Since the thanksalot sale did not give me any decent coupons this year that would have offsetted the takealotmore subscription I had already been planning to dump them, it was a drain anyway since I barely order from them.

I am already have Primevideo so this is a no brainer.

So just posting the following from Amazon's website
If eligible, your Prime Video subscription will be automatically upgraded to an Amazon Prime membership on your next billing date. If your Prime Video subscription wasn't upgraded to an Amazon Prime membership, visit your local Amazon website to sign up for Amazon Prime. Unless you signed up for Prime Video through a third party, your existing Prime Video subscription will be cancelled after you upgrade to the Amazon Prime membership.

We subscribed to Amazon Prime in 2024. Cancelled it after 8 months. The debit orders continued for 3 months. I stopped it at bank. A snotty letter arrived from Amazon. Each year in February, Amazon submits another debit order for R89,00 and I have to stop it again

Communicating with them is all one-sided. You never get a reply or acknowledgement
